14-3-3ζ promotes gliomas cells invasion by regulating Snail through the PI3K/AKT signaling

Conference name: 2nd International conference on pathology

Researchers investigated the role of 14-3-3ζ in gliomas progression. They used Western blot analysis and quantitative polymerase chain reaction to determine the expression level of 14-3-3ζ and Snail in different grades of human gliomas. Using cell migration and invasion assay, the colony formation experiment, and Cell counting Kit-8  assay, they measured the effect of 14-3-3ζ on gliomas progression. As per outcomes, by regulating the Snail protein expression through activating phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)/AKT signaling, the overexpression of 14-3-3ζ can increase gliomas cells proliferation, migration, and invasion remarkably and may serve as a potential prognostic marker and therapeutic target for gliomas.
